| BKS Insurance Agency was established in 2006 with the idea of providing Collin County a Suburban independent insurance agency with the market clout of a large metro agency. The agency was started by Bernard “Barney” Schwartz who, prior to starting the agency, was the president of a large Dallas insurance agency. While sitting on advisory councils for several insurance companies, he was able to fortify relationships with carrier representatives at the local, regional, and national level. This resulted in the agency securing contracts with some of the most competitive, financially stable insurance companies in the marketplace.
